On 13 June 2026, LUONA Sauna opens its doors to celebrate Finnish Sauna Day.
One day, three sessions, a few seats each.

This is a rare chance to experience one of the most Finnish wood-fired saunas by the sea in Stockholm archipelago.

What is Finnish Sauna Day?

Every year on the second Saturday of June, Finland pauses to celebrate the sauna. The Finnish sauna is a UNESCO-listed cultural heritage, a place of healing, honesty, and stillness. In Finland, there is one sauna for every two people. Sauna is where decisions are made, where burdens are set down, where people simply are. Something that has become rare in today's life.

We at LUONA Sauna are celebrating Finnish Sauna Day here, in the Stockholm archipelago, and open our doors for you.

About LUONA Sauna

LUONA Sauna is a traditional Finnish wood-fired sauna set on the edge of the Stockholm archipelago. Where sea meets rock and the horizon is Nordic and quiet. Our sauna was built with care and intention, by a Finn, according to the principles she grew up with: a proper wood-fired stove, stones heated slowly, löyly that moves through the room like something alive.

Normally, LUONA is reserved only privately for small groups. This is the first time we open for something different.

LUONA Sauna is located in Djurö, Värmdö, Stockholm archipelago, on one of the furthest islands that you can reach by road. From central Stockholm it takes approximately 50 minutes by car. Public transport is available from Slussen, a bus takes approximately 1 hr, and the closest bus stop is located 700 meters from us.

Three exclusive sessions, each for up to 6 guests. Time slots 15-17, 17-19 and 19-21.

What is included: Two hours of wood-fired sauna and sea swimming. Access to the indoor and outdoor lounge areas. The fire will be ready. The shore will be waiting.
